The ZII was originally made by the great Ed Chambers. Since his passing several years ago, many balsa fanatics have asked me if I would consider bringing this old classic back to life as, the supply they had has been consumed. The Z II offers a very tight action, good casting bait that delivers a solid running depth of 6 to 8 feet making it a perfect choice for colder water situations.

It was well known as a finesse style crankbait and very popular with wintertime and early spring anglers and loved by many because it was heavy enough to be fished with on a casting rod setup. The ZII features a uniquely shaped poly bill with a line thru lip construction helping the bait stay tuned after being abused.  The ZII balsa crankbait is ideal for fishing wood, rock, grass edges, gravel banks, and in those early spring ditches. If you're looking for a deeper than most in its class, tight action balsa bait, the ZII is one you should definitely consider.

The Z II is equipped with two black nickel Mustad TG76 trebles and built with the same 45 step process as all Black Label products.

All Black Label Balsa baits are made by hand out of premium balsa wood by Bassmaster Classic Champion Cliff Pace.
